Stakeholder engagement that moves complex projects to real outcomes.
Engagement strategy, insights and results.
I help government, corporate and private sector clients manage stakeholder risk and deliver engagement that holds up under scrutiny, on projects where the outcome depends on it.
My work spans infrastructure and energy projects, planning and development, government reform, and sensitive or high-profile stakeholder environments. I focus on engagement that is practical and credible, and that connects directly to how decisions actually get made, not engagement as a compliance exercise.
Before founding Nadris Advisory, I co-founded Capire Consulting Group in 2007 and led it as Managing Director and later Chair for sixteen years, helping grow it into one of Australia's leading independent stakeholder engagement practices, with work extending into the ASEAN region. Earlier in my career, I established and led the Sustainability consulting practice at GHD.
Today, alongside Nadris Advisory, I hold independent chair and advisory roles across water, environment and industry engagement, and act as a special advisor on investor relations and stakeholder strategy for organisations across Australia and South-East Asia.
Advisory across three connected disciplines
Infrastructure, sustainability and management consulting rarely sit in separate boxes on the ground. The strongest engagement strategies treat them as one problem.
Infrastructure & Major Projects
Stakeholder and community engagement strategy for planning, development, energy and infrastructure projects, including Environment Effects Statement processes and other formal approval pathways where engagement quality is tested directly.
Sustainability & Community
Community engagement, long-term masterplanning and industry engagement, including partnership work with Traditional Owner groups on heritage, land and water projects designed to endure well beyond a single approval.
Executive Advisory & Reform
Issues management, research, executive facilitation and stakeholder strategy for government reform programs, investor relations and organisations navigating sensitive or high-visibility change.
International Project Advisory
Clearer communication, sharper stakeholder thinking, and a little more confidence in the room.
Nadris Advisory provides selected international project communication and stakeholder advisory support for teams preparing for important client, partner, government or stakeholder settings. Led by Chris Robinson, the service draws on more than 30 years' experience across Australia, Asia, the UK and the USA, helping teams make sense of complex projects, sharpen the story and prepare for the conversations that matter.
This is not general English coaching or standard presentation training. It is practical senior support for teams that already know their work, but want to explain it better, anticipate risk and walk into the room with more confidence.
Where this helps
International project settings can be exciting, but also a little unforgiving. The technical work may be strong, yet the story can still get lost in translation, culture, process, jargon or nervous Q&A. Nadris can help teams to:
- Prepare for international meetings, proposals or presentations
- Test whether messages are clear, persuasive and audience-ready
- Strengthen project narratives, briefing material and Q&A responses
- Anticipate stakeholder concerns, risks and misunderstandings
- Prepare senior staff for difficult questions or scrutiny
- Improve communication around complex planning, infrastructure, sustainability or public policy issues
How Nadris can help
Support may include rapid message testing, project communication review, stakeholder strategy advice, executive preparation, workshops, mentoring, or in-person advisory blocks linked to scheduled international travel.
Sessions are practical, direct and project-specific. No generic modules, no theatre, no pretending every answer sits neatly on a slide. Just useful questions, clear advice, live testing, better structure, and support to help teams explain complex work with more confidence and judgement.
International experience
Chris has worked with, advised or maintained professional relationships across Australia, Asia, the UK and the USA, including professional exchange work with CTI Engineering in Tokyo, project and advisory experience connected with Fiji, Vietnam and the USA, and professional relationships in Malaysia and Vietnam.
A genuine interest in how people, places and cultures shape communication, and how good project teams build trust when the context is unfamiliar.
Ideal fit
Particularly suited to infrastructure, urban development, planning, design, sustainability, government-facing, international partnership and stakeholder engagement projects. It works best where the technical capability is strong, but the project story, audience setting or stakeholder context needs sharper preparation. In other words: good teams, complex work, important conversations.
